Advocate
Two out of three children in the world live in dire poverty, and many are left to suffer alone with no one to plead their case or hear their cries. We desire to be a voice for the voiceless, to make known the reality children all over the world are forced to live in. We believe if we can make people more aware, than more people will be provoked to get involved and be a part of the process of healing. We commonly speak at churches, conferences, and community and educational gatherings to raise awareness about the issues of children at risk and to encourage individuals to get involved. Awareness is so important, especially in the west where it is so easy for us to get comfortable and become numb or naive to the reality of the world we live in. The more aware we become, the more we are provoked to action.
We also advocate for children, particularly in poor nations, to community, government, educational, business, and religious leaders. Children are the most exploited people group in the world and in so many areas there aren’t laws or programs to protect them. In the communities we work in, we strive to make the children’s voices heard. We are currently advocating for issues surrounding children forced to live on the streets, the plight of orphans, the discrimination towards girls and AIDS victims, and for the spiritual discipleship of children in the churches. We will continue to be a venue for children’s voices to be heard and provoke others to do the same until children are valued, loved, and protected in each community.
